For Pokemon Soul Silver which pokemon would be better to have in my party: Lugia or Togekiss?

Question by erica: For Pokemon Soul Silver which pokemon would be better to have in my party: Lugia or Togekiss?
So I need a flying pokemon in my party for soul silver and I can’t choose between Lugia or Togekiss… They‘re both the same level but I’m not sure which one would be better/stronger. I already have a psychic pokemon in my party and i already have a normal type one too. Which one should I choose?? And why?? Help?

I don’t believe in having legendaries in your team – may be strong but cheating (my opinion)…

So I would choose togekiss – it is really strong and would benefit your team.

Lugia has better stats but togekiss has more of a balance of sp def and sp atk
But i would go with lugia

you should choose lugia.lugia is a legendary and its much stronger then togekiss.togekiss has some strong moves like aura sphere but lugia always has better stats then togekiss and in my opinion its the best flying type to choose.

I think I should get a new psychic type pokemon and a new water type pokemon. Any suggestions or moves to teach them?

Gardevoir is alright. Just have it know Hypnosis and dream eater and it’ll be a beast. Azumarill (in my opinion) are weaker. My suggestion for a water type is floatzel. Staraptor and infernape should be taught close combat and luxray should know swagger. Glaceon…meh…It’s OK. But I suggest going for froslass, giving you a reliable ghost AND ice type. Froslass should know hail, have the ability Snow cloak, and have the item that extends the duration of hail. And the rest of your team should have moves to prevent pokemon from hitting their weak spots. I think its pretty balanced overall, though.

A well balanced team, I give it a 8/10. here are some suggestions for your team:

Infernape has good speed,attack and sp.atk, so moves like
flare blitz,close combat,thunderpunch(move tutor) and earthquake would easily dominate any pokemon.

For luxray,great attack but limited movepool.i recommend thunderbolt(higher base damage) or thunder fang(lower base damage than thunderbolt but takes advantage of luxray’s high attack),crunch, superpower(move tutor) and either iron tail or thunder wave.

Staraptor.awesome pokemon. Moves like Fly(if you plan on him being a flyer) or U-turn,Close Combat, Brave Bird and Roost help Staraptor deal major damage as well as heal with Roost.

Glaceon.ok pokemon overall. Limited movepool,so i recommend moves like Ice Beam,Shadow Ball(Extra move),Water Pulse(To deal with fire and rock types) and either mirror coat(a sp.atk version of counter) or Hail(helps because of its ability,Snow Cloak)

Gardevoir.No need to replace it,its a better option than Alakazam because it has a higher defense than Alakazam.For a good move combination, teach it Hypnosis and Dream-Eater to drain hp and other two attacking moves like Psychich,Shadow Ball,Energy Ball or Thunderbolt would do

Definitely replace Azumarill,Terrible pokemon.I recommend either a Floatzel,Gyarados or a Tentacruel. As i don’t want to make this any longer, check the links below:

Gardevoir is a good Psychic type.
You should most definitely change the water type Pokemon that you have. Azumarill super weak. Get a Pokemon like Gyarados, Floatzel, Milotic or Kingdra(I’m not sure if you can get the last two Pokemon I mentioned in Platinum.

Personally, I like your team, except for one pokemon….
Which is Azumarill. I think that pokemon is a little weak and I personally wouldnt have it in my team sorry.
And you should considering on getting a Lapras. or Gyrados.
And for the psychic type, I would choose Kirlia. But that is a quite hard pokemon to obtain, but an easy one that I like is Espeon.
